Part 2: Creative Nonfiction Assignment.

Throughout my entire life, my family has been there for me. I cannot ask for more and very grateful to even have them beside me. I recall many times when I had impact-ful/important conversations with them, especially my father and eldest brother. As a little girl, I never really understood much until things happen within the family, such as my mother passing away. (short snippet of the actual story) I remember my father, brothers, and external families on both my father and mother's side being there, watching my mother in the hospital. But before that, my dad told me that my mom was going to go away and never come back. I was shocked, I didn't know what was happening and kept asking 'what's going on? why was mother leaving us? did I do something wrong for her to abandon us?' within my head. I was only 9. He told me what death was and, "mama has a serious illness and cannot be cured." I couldn't believe it, thoughts raced through my head and I teared up but did not want to cry in front of my father because I didn't want to add on pain for him. He also told me,"She loves us and would never leave us but none of us can help her get better, doctors tried but they were afraid of it getting worse or causing her to leave earlier, we all have to be strong for her alright?...(etc)". After the whole talk, I would sit in a corner of a room, lights off, door closed and cry to myself at night; blaming myself for causing her to be ill because I used to be a pain in the butt while I was younger and my mom had to scold me a lot. The talk I had with my father really got to me and I said to myself, "I have to grow up and change! Be more responsible and not be a pain in the butt for mother and anyone for the internal and external family! Mom will not be sick any longer so DO IT!! SAVE MOM." I lied to myself and prayed for her to get better but in the end, she had to leave the world. I was never a normal 9 year old after the day, she left. I went to starting 4th grade and just closed myself in, not wanting to play with other kids, couldn't think about anything else but her. I wanted her to come back more than anything but from the talk i had with my dad, I knew she cannot come back because she was in heaven now. I grew up and had to be the "woman" of the house and helped my father with stuff around the house.
A year later, I had another talk with my father about scooters, everyone had a scooter back then and it was the "trend" and it was "cool." I was very clumsy, I would trip every time i walked outside....just very very clumsy. He told me not to go on one because I would fall. He didn't want me to get hurt so he tried to protect me, "Daughter, I don't want you to get hurt, just stay here with all the grown ups and talk with us,"but I did not listen. I got on one, I felt the wind breezing through my hair and hit my face rolling down the pavement and away from the area where my dad and the other grownups in the family sat. But then my uncle and cousin who was on a electric one, started to drive behind me and I got scared that they would hit me. I went faster, kicking my leg to make it move and looking behind me, being a clumsy person I was, I hit a rock the size of a tennis ball and held onto the scooter handles. Usually people would let go and protect themselves from falling with their hands but that wasn't the case for me. I flew over the scooter and crashed onto the tar pavement and slid a bit. I finally let go of it when I hit the floor. I got up and cousins were screaming for their lives and saying, "Aiya!!!!! (chinese- omg!!!!!) HER FACE IS BLEEDING AND HALF OF HER FACE IS MISSING SKIN!"
It didn't hurt but then I panicked and the pain rushed through my entire body, tears falling down my face, and blood dripping. My 2nd eldest brother was there and he ran as quickly over to my dad and told him, "BA (chinese- father) She got hurt, her face is bloody and skin is missing!!" Both of them rushed over to me--dad and uncle took me inside and they dragged me over to the sink and cleansed my face. It burned like nothing I had ever experienced before. They cleansed it and bandaged it but they didn't know that a tar pebble was stuck in my face. Over time, my skinned healed back to normal and it healed over the tar pebble as well. We went to the doctors to get out the tar pebble but there is scar tissue still, with a fair visibility still. It will be with my forever and it taught me a valuable lesson to never question my dad and also that I should think if it is reasonable before acting upon it. From that day on, I never ever dared to touch a scooter again.

My eldest brother, he is another person who impacted/important in my life. Without him, I would not know what to do within my education. He is the one who helped me with my homework when I was younger and showed me the side of Art. We would spend hours talking about art too, I was interested in it ever since the 1st art class in kindergarten and he would show me his old drawings he did in his elementary/high school years; of malls, snoopy, landscape, and buildings(mostly architecture structures). I was very inspired. He told me that 'no one can choose a path for you in the future of what you want to do, influences sure, but its your decision and do whatever makes you happy in life, not what makes others happy.' Art will always be a passion of mine and my eldest brother gave me more knowledge about the subject. (:
My father and eldest brother (plus my 2nd eldest brother too but not stated in this post) are people who had important/impact-ful conversations with me throughout my life. Without these conversations and lessons that i learned of these past events in my life, I would not be the person that I am now. They are my loved ones and forever be the ones I will love. I'll never forget these conversations and the many ones in the past; and the ones yet to come in the future ^^.

Part 1: Creative Nonfiction Assignment.

Genius Name: NinjaHoneyBee

Bonet: Hey NinjaHoneyBee!

NinjaHoneyBee: Hey gurl lol, What's up??

Bonet: I need some help thinking about what to write for my Creative Nonfiction Assignment for Creative Writing Class. It has to contain 5 ideas about a conversation I had with a family member of mine. It should be important and impact-ful. Umm, I cannot think of any at the moment though.... :|

NinjaHoneyBee: It's okay, I'll help you out ^_^
How about the time when you were in 5th grade at your cousin's house on your mom's side and you and your father talked about how you should not go on the scooter because you were very clumsy but you didn't listen and fell, causing you to scrape half of the skin off of your face?

Bonet: Oh yeah, I forgot about that time....I still have a mini scar on my face from that time; it was very important, impact-ful of one point in my life because it taught me a lesson to think if it was reasonable before taking action. I should have listen to my father.

NinjaHoneyBee: you know, they are right most of the time even though we don't want to admit it lol. And how about the time when your oldest brother talked to you about art and it inspired you?

Bonet: I still clearly remember the drawings of his he showed me when he was in elementary school drawing the whole layout of a mall with details. It was an impact-ful point in life for myself as well because it opened a new passion of mine.

NinjaHoneyBee: Yes, and how about the time when your dad talked to you when you were 9 about what was happening to your mom, her being sick, and where she was going?

Bonet: Oh yeah....But I do not really want to talk about the sad points in my life....

NinjaHoneyBee: Well, was it impact-ful and important?

Bonet: It was definitely impact-ful and important since I had to basically grow up at a very young age and could not really be a normal 9 year old, being careless and having fun with friends.

NinjaHoneyBee: You should consider writing about a time with your Dad or combining both, your dad and oldest brother. You can include many details from those points in your life in your creative writing assignment~ Just do your best and remember to have fun.

Bonet: ((: aw ! Thank you, NinjaHoneyBee!! TTYL

NinjaHoneyBee: I'm always here to help ^^. TTYL.
