Movie: Twilight.
I chose to write about twilight for my 20th outside reading blog is because i can't get enough of the story plot.
yes, it might not be something that would interest everyone and it doesn't have to be. I seen it for the 59th time (59th;went yesterday: dec 21st). You may and might think i'm a total twilight freak; i do admit it haha. it's not a bad thing but i do agree it's a little over board but it really depends on what you enjoy watching.
The movie was great but i wished they added some of the parts like when Edward and Bella were in Chemistry together but then she faints of seeing blood in their experiment and Mike tries to carry her to the nurse; Edward swepts her from her seat and brings her to the nurse pushing mike aside during a windy snow court outside by the nurses office.
The books are beyond belief. If you haven't read the book; you might think that twilight isn't that great but if you actually read the book and have knowing of what's going on plus what both of them (edward and bella) are thinking; it would have a different impact on you while watching it again.
I read the books over 50 times; it doesn't get old or boring.
Again, It really depends on what your interested in.
Thanks for taking time to read my Outside Reading Blog.
Very Much Appreciated!

Movie: My Sassy Girl.
Description: It's a Korean movie that basically has this boy falling for a girl but then everything crashes down on him when he notices a pattern in the girl's life.
She always gets drunk when she reminds herself of her past boyfriend dumping her and leaving her behind. The boy doesn't know what to do and can't leave her by herself drunk outside in the night because he's scared that there's going to be a crazy perverted man out there somewhere.
He helps her but then things happen to him because he doesn't think before he acts (picking up her cellphone and her parents called the police and gets him arrested) but he wasn't doing anything to her. Later on, the girl and boy falls for eachother but something happens though; later in the movie.
To me, it's basically a chick flick haha but a little bit like a romance film with a little comedy added to it.
I chose to write about this topic for my Outside Reading Blog #13 because i thought it would be great to explain to others that even though it's a movie; you can relate and feel what the actors are feeling. Also, you can learn life lessons too. I learned that there is a person you least expect to be with, the right one for you; happens to be the one right infront of your eyes but you haven't really thought about it that way.
It may not be the type of movie for some but that could change.
I was skeptical about this film to be completely honest with you but i fell in love with the plot of the story and learned something from it. : )
thanks for taking you time to read this whole thing. I really appreciate it; thanks again.

# 1 of the Essay Prompts from Class.
Question: Which of the gods in the odyssey has the most human characteristics and why?
Answer: In my opinion, I would say Athena has the most human characteristics.
In the book Odyssey, Athena would have the most human characteristics.
Firstly, even though Athena has powers like all the gods; she feels the pain for the humans and tries to help them as much as possible.
Secondly, Athena isn’t afraid to die and she has all the features of a human.
Thirdly, she doesn’t act like she’s a mystical god and tries to blend in with the humans; Athena cares about the humans as well.
In conclusion, Athena makes the most human goddess in the book.

Telemachus for National Hero!
Published: Oct 30, 2008
The son of Odysseus.
Why should Telemachus for National Hero you might say?
It's fairly simple really;
first of all, he has gone through so much while growing up without his father by his side; trying to find a way to get those men out of his and his mother's home but it always failed. Think about it; if there were people that you didn't want in your house and you couldn't do ANYTHING about it, how would you feel?
Second, even though he's the son of odysseus, he's not only that. Telemachus grew up strong and finally had enough with what he's seeing and hearing around the kingdom. He wants his mother to be happy again. Every single day, he watched her becoming more and more disappointed and treated like dirt from the suitors.
Third, he took what the gods had to say like the man he is; Decided to go out to find his father no matter what. Telemachus is strong and brave to do what no one would have done in the first place. Everyone insisted his father was dead and never coming back but Telemachus did not back down even though all the nonsense he heard from everyone; he knew deep down in his heart his father is alive.
Even though he isn't a god, he's a hero for doing what is right to him and to others around him that he loves and cares for. Telemachus journeying off to find his father again and fill the kingdom back to normal which included his mother being happy all over again.
There's one question to ask yourself,
what is a national hero? is it someone you think that is always strong and brave? is it someone who is a hero just because you think they are one?
Telemachus is more than a national hero.
Vote for him. or
Vote for someone who only cares about themselves.

POST #4: Outside Reading Blog!- for Oct. 15th. (Absent On the date due)
TV!
Channel: History.
Description: Future of the Earth.
Basically scientists predict what would happen to the earth about 1500 years into the future and when the 2nd age ice comes around, what would the animals be like.
It was very fascinating actually! The animals were beyond what I had predicted and unbelievable.
The earth recreates everything but Antarctica breaks off and joins with Asia. South America breaks off to connect with North America. Finally everything breaks off and connects to make one large Continent with one body of water overall.
I was surprised with all the graphics that the scientists created to make it look robotic yet real at the same time.
But it shocks me to think that Australia would be a try "Egypt", and Paris the capital of fashion will soon become the new "Antarctica".
I chose to write about this topic because it makes you think about life a bit.
I'm not very sure how to explain what I'm trying to get at. But I'll try my attempt at it.
If you regret many things in life, the things in the future would past by in a blink of an eye.
Think about it, You live once or more lives but how do we know? we can't really prove that we may come back in the future really...but why not live your life to the fullest than regretting little things you made or did. Things we do help us learn from the mistakes or the choices we make. Everyone grows and becomes aware of things everyday. It's just how we are. Humans.
You should get up and take in a deep breath the fresh air. What do you have to lose? Make everyday the like it's the last. Fulfill every dream you may have or try to reach it.
Don't let anyone stop you or change who you are.
Be the person you want to be and live a happy life. : )
Watching this really made me think a lot about life in general.
Don't hold back, keep going forward and live the life you want.
:)
Thanks for Reading!

-TV!
Channel: History Channel
Topic: Monster Quests; the unknown creature named Champ. Believed Ancestor of the pleiosaur-like lake monster from back way way in the past (when dinosaurs were still alive on planet earth)
It's about these scientists and teachers from Universities all over the place (have been and still are doing) researching and doing tests about what happened in the Lake Champlain over the centuries starting around ~1771 when the firstsighting of Champ in Lake Champlain. Many stories have been reported they say and that Champ has echo sounds like how whales have to communicate with their own species. Scientists tracked the locations of the echo sounds and it happened to be around and in Lake Champlain. There's approximately three locations over and over again having reported to be where it's coming from. They can't believe an animal that might have been exincted thousands and thousands of years ago, maybe still alive but having a little bit of information, it's not quite enough evidence to prove it's correctly right if Champ is real or not. Couple scientists think it's not real and it's just an old tree root that have sunk down to the bottom and releasing gass from it's roots and barks, it's flowing back up and sinking back slowly, making it seem like a lake monster but it's really just a branch of something simple like that. A eye witness says she has seen Champ and another same species creature go under a street lamp outside of her house on land. But the thing is, Scientists says that pleiosaurs couldn't walk on land by then but they have a hypothesis saying that Champ and the same species might have grown features over time to stay alive in this new evironment. Also, there's two photographs that eye witnesses have captured but it's not very clear but it's still evidence. The city and state has passed a law saying if Champ shows up or if the species is still alive and someone is lucky enough to come across them, they may NOT HARM THEM or esle the state and city might have to take serious action. Champ is listed as an endangered species right now.
^^I do believe that Champ is real. Everyone has their own opinions if Champ is real or not.
It would be awesome to run into Champ and see how amazing this creature is.
Okay so what if we don't have enough evidence, we still have some. It's not like I'm going to believe what everyone is believing because we all have the freedom to believe whatever we want and no one can take away what we believe.

Siddhartha Blog Assignment #3!
October 09 2008
8:57 pm
Dear Lahdi,This is Nahdia and I'm requesting for some advice because I'm very worried about my dear friend, Siddhartha. He has journeyed off alone to seek of unknown truth and much more but I'm just afraid something will happen to him through out. I haven't heard from him in a while and It's getting to me...I'm not sure how to put it really.
When Siddhartha started on his Journey, he was unknowning of the world and careless with everything he owned but now, all I know from what I've got in the mail is that he's hunger for the truth and only the truth alone. He gave up everything to go on this journey, his family, his fortune; everything. He won't eat and he doesn't sleep. All he does is meditate and he might eventually die! No one can go without 3 days of food and water. I know he's trying to help the world and destroy the suffering of the people in the villages getting ill and old and I get he's putting others before himself and I'm all for it but I seriously don't want to see anything happen to him. He's very imporant to me. Please, if you have time; E-mail me back your response! Your the only person I can think of that can really help me and my situation!
Please and Thankyou.
Sincerely,
Nahdia.

9:15 pm
Dear Nahdia,
Hello, sorry for the late response. I'm very busy has you know but as I was going through my inbox, I saw what you wrote about needing advice from me; It grabbed me right away since I always have time to help as many people as possible.
Anyways, enough of the chit chat.
Let's start talking about your situation on worrying about your dear friend, Siddhartha.
Well first off, I understand about worrying about his health and everything. It is hard in fact but you need to trust him because he knows what's right for him. He's doing a very good thing and I don't want you to think I'm a bad advice giver or don't care about this situation but you need to tell yourself that he'll be fine through the journey. Have faith in him and If you know him as well as you tell me you do, then he knows that you care and he'll protect himself anyway possible to keep moving and growing stronger everyday.
I hope my advice helps you! I really do hope that because I don't want you to feel anymore down and I'm pretty sure if Siddhartha knew you were down, he'll be disappointed and miserable as well.
Have faith in him. :)
Sincerely,
Lahdi.

Book: Romeo and Juliet
Author: William Shakespeare
Pages: 58-68
Act 2 Scene 2
Capulet's orchard
Summary of Scene 2 is Juliet is at her window next to her bedroom and Romeo is underneath her window on the ground, softly describing how she's the keeper of his heart and she shines so brightly as he watches her.
Juliet speaks to herself and says she can't believe she is falling in love with Romeo but can't believe he's the one who she is seeking for but is her family's foe's son.
" Juliet : Ay me
Romeo: She speaks.
Oh speak again, bright angel, for thou art
As glorious to this night, being o'er my head,
As is a winged messenger of heaven
Unto the white upturned wond'ring eyes
Of mortals that fall back to gaze on him,
When he bestrides the lazy puffing clouds
And sails upon the bosom of the air.
Juliet: O Romeo, Romeo, where fore art thou Romeo?
Deny thy father and refuse thy name.
Or,if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love and I'll no longer be a Capulet.- (pg.60)
^^Those lines speak of truth and love. The lines may not mean a lot to some people reading my blog but thinking about it and letting it sink in,
It touches my heart and one of my favorite parts in the whole book. Juliet wants Romeo more than anything now and is willing to give up everything she has to be with him and if she can't, she would rather die. It's hard to explain why it's such powerful lines to me in the book. It's true love and it touches your heart deeply to wish that would happen to you someday...you know? While your reading it, it feels like your there with Romeo and Juilet, feeling the emotions of what they are feeling and seeing every little detail in the scene.
If I were able to send an e-mail or letter to Romeo and Juilet, It would be something along these lines;
"Dear Romeo and Juilet,
I support you guys in 100% following your hearts and being together even though everyone is against you being together.
You have touched me and helped me learn about true love, what is true in life, who's really important in my life.
We live in two different worlds but it's one now.
I don't know what to say right now because it's so overwhelming to actually be sending this letter to you!
I hope your doing well.
:) "
The letter may not contain much but the thought is what matters.

Siddhartha Blog Assignment #2!
Part 1: Govinda- Nahdia? you there? i need to talk to you asap. text me back when you get this! (sent :4:30 pm)
Nahdia- Govinda, is there something wrong?!
(sent:5:00 pm)
Govinda- Yes, Siddhartha is leaving me behind...he isn't coming with me to follow the buddha and the followers...It's killing me inside! I need so advice...please. (sent: 5:15 pm)
Nahdia- Is it what you believe and want? hold on, tell me the whole story first. (sent: 5:20 pm)
Govinda- well, I do believe in the teachings and i want to join the buddha and his followers...but i just don't want to leave Siddhartha since we have been best friends since forever, you know?
Well to start off telling the whole story,
Siddhartha and i were traveling and waiting for the buddha and his teachings to come along. When we finished listening to his teachings, It was already night time and I felt the urge to follow him...quoting Buddha, i believe he said; "You have listened well to the teachings. Join us then and walk in bliss; put an end to suffering."
I wanted to suffering to end, it was hard not to listen to my heart.
(sent: 5:45 pm)
Nahdia- Well my friend, you've chosen your way and Siddhartha has chosen his. This was going to happen someday and I think you knew that as well. This is not my intention for you to feel more down, I think you did what was right for you and Siddhartha just wanted to go his way and find other possibilities in what he is seeking for.
(sent: 6:00pm)
Govinda-Nahdia, I guess but I just wished that Siddhartha and I could still be friends.(sent:6:03pm)
Nahdia- Govinda, he is still apart of your heart and your not going to forget the Journey that you and Siddhartha have encountered. It is life and positive energy in life is better than feeling sad about things. I've learned as well, the important lessons. (sent:6:12pm)
Govinda- Your right, just like how Siddhartha said to me, "You have heard my blessing, Govinda. I repeat it. May you travel this path to the end. May you find salvation!"(sent:6:15pm)
Nahdia- See! Siddhartha would rather have you be happy then sad about himself leaving to continue his own path.(sent:6:35pm)
Govinda- Yeah, haha. Thanks,Nahdia, for helping me through it and giving me some great advice. I'll talk to you soon hopefully!(sent:6:45pm)
Nahdia- Anytime! haha :) I hope you take care and talk to you soon as well. (sent:7:00pm)
Part2:
If I were in Govinda, I would have felt the same; hurt, sad, and a little scared.
I think Govinda is dealing with the separation from Siddhartha would be normal because they've known eachother since they were children and realizing this huge sudden shocking news would bring someone down. But listening and thinking to yourself about it would be fine and nothing's going to change inside of you. The memories would still be there, in your heart. Feeling sad or heartbroken would have not changed anything, sure your sad but think about all the happy things and everything that you and that person close to you did together or the adventures you had. In this case, Siddhartha and Govinda's journey seeking for possibilities and trying to learn things that are far far far away( the unknown things; much bigger than the universe), as well as ending suffering for everyone.

AVATAR ASSIGNMENT
Hello, My name is Nahdia. I'm 107 years old. I'm bestfriends with Siddhartha. He's the most wises and knowing person, I know. You might think he's just another old man trying to help out the world, but he's much more than that to me and the followers of his. He's known as the God of Buddhism, The religion that has blossomed to what it's now today and for everyone to learn and become apart of it.
It is the journey that matters and what you do to make your life what it is in positive ways more than negative ways.
He believes that If you follow the Eight Fold Paths, You can reach Nirvana and in your next life, you'll come back good and wise.
Well, I have to go now. i'll talk to you all later.
Thanks for taking your time listening and reading.
Sincerely,
Nahdia.
