Telemachus for National Hero!

Published: Oct 30, 2008

The son of Odysseus.

Why should Telemachus for National Hero you might say?
It's fairly simple really;
first of all, he has gone through so much while growing up without his father by his side; trying to find a way to get those men out of his and his mother's home but it always failed. Think about it; if there were people that you didn't want in your house and you couldn't do ANYTHING about it, how would you feel?
Second, even though he's the son of odysseus, he's not only that. Telemachus grew up strong and finally had enough with what he's seeing and hearing around the kingdom. He wants his mother to be happy again. Every single day, he watched her becoming more and more disappointed and treated like dirt from the suitors.
Third, he took what the gods had to say like the man he is; Decided to go out to find his father no matter what. Telemachus is strong and brave to do what no one would have done in the first place. Everyone insisted his father was dead and never coming back but Telemachus did not back down even though all the nonsense he heard from everyone; he knew deep down in his heart his father is alive.

Even though he isn't a god, he's a hero for doing what is right to him and to others around him that he loves and cares for. Telemachus journeying off to find his father again and fill the kingdom back to normal which included his mother being happy all over again.

There's one question to ask yourself,
what is a national hero? is it someone you think that is always strong and brave? is it someone who is a hero just because you think they are one?

Telemachus is more than a national hero.
Vote for him. or
Vote for someone who only cares about themselves.
